I first came to Brighton in 2004 whilst studying for a degree that focused on the management of arts and events including their wider impact in terms of city regeneration and tourism. It was May at the start of the Festival, and I watched the Children’s Parade – thousands of children marching through the streets with hand-made puppets, lots of colour and excitement filled the city. It was this that made me fall in love with Brighton.

So, I moved straight down here after graduating and it became my home city where I choose to work and raise a family. I started my career managing business events in the city’s hotel venues before moving to the VisitBrighton Convention Bureau where I had the privilege of selling our wonderful city both nationally and internationally as a key business tourism destination.

I am proud to sell and promote Brighton’s main conference and exhibition centre, indeed the largest convention centre in the South East outside of London, and I would be delighted to support your organisation in securing your next event in our inspirational building and city by the sea!

I'm originally from Bath in the South West, but have lived in Sussex for over 25 years now. Being near the coast, but also being near to Gatwick are two highlights of living in the South East, I enjoy warm sunny British days (rare) making the most of living by the sea, but also being 20 mins from the airport. to take me to the European sun (where there is much) at all other times!

Regarding my working life I have always worked in Sales, starting in the travel industry and then moving onto events. I have been a part of the Conference Sales Team at the Brighton Centre since October 2006. That's how good it is here!

I am responsible for the negotiation and administration of securing and contracting new and multi-year conference business. I am the main link for the client from sales to operations. My client account management is my strength and relationship building and maintaining is what I enjoy. I believe when you enjoy something, you are happy and if you are happy, you thrive and do a good job.

The Brighton Centre is without question the biggest and best venue in the City. We like to think that we really make use of it; running a large exhibition space on the ground floor as well as 8 simultaneous conferences throughout the various spaces in the building. No other venue could possible accommodate us, and it's always great to work with the in-house teams to ensure our delegates have a great experience.
