Ice Ice Baby

Not to confuse you with any one hit wonder from the early 90’s;  I just like that ICE 2014title and those words are perfect for what I am about to tell you about.

You may be aware that over past years and for many of them, we have hosted the infamous, magical Holiday on Ice every January. Last year we cut the trend and had the extremely successful show Starlight Express, one of the best loved and longest running musicals in theatrical history.

This January we have a brand new show ICE, opening on Wednesday 22nd January and running until Sunday 2nd February;  skating like you’ve never seen before. Speed. Style. Glamour. Grace

Brighton local, Robin Cousins is bringing together world class skating talent and choreography with iconic set design and a soundtrack of popular music with a unique twist. Dynamic and atmospheric, Robin Cousins’ ICE will draw you into its unique world, one where world class skaters glide, soar, flip and fly to a dynamic musical score in a truly theatrical setting.

The show does not carry a narrative and it doesn’t pigeon hole the music and songs into a story line. It allows the individual lyrics and melodies to speak for themselves alongside and within the choreography.

It sounds like a truly awesome show, perfect entertainment for this gloomy, damp, cold January! I’ve got my tickets, have you?
