Firstly I would just like to introduce myself; my name is Hayley and I am one of the newest recruits to the Brighton Centre, working alongside Ally as part of the Brighton Centre’s PR team.
A little bit about myself, I have worked in a couple of other agencies to gain my PR experience, following my degree in Advertising and Marketing at Bournemouth University. Outside of work I am a keen runner, running my first half marathon back in April, which was not easy! Hopefully I will be able to do another one before running the Brighton Half in February. Alongside keeping fit I try to go to a couple of festivals each summer, this year I was lucky enough to attend Glastonbury Festival for the first time, which is up there with one of the best weekends of my life! Every month it feels as though there is a new way of reaching consumers online, adding to the struggle for marketers to keep up to date with the latest and most effective marketing strategies. Here at the Brighton Centre we often find ourselves asking whether receiving 100 likes, 200 re-pins, 300 favourites or 1000 new followers results in a more effective campaign. It is hard to tell what makes a difference, in the highly saturated online world.
Keeping up to date with the new social media and digital marketing opportunities online is difficult, but it is something that we understand will help attract business to the Brighton Centre. While we try our hardest to keep ‘in the know’ with digital marketing, more often than not we are forgetting about the importance of traditional methods. Continue reading
